The Imogen Roche Foundation Inc. (IF) is a multi-service nonprofit agency whose programs focus on the social and emotional learning and mental wellness of children and teens through project-based learning, social engagement and communication skills development.
The client needed a powerful logo which represented the continued work and legacy of a young inspiring individual who was tragically lost two years ago.
Tasked with the challenge of having to create a form which will mean so much to so many people, the goal was to design something elegant, bold and meaningful. The concept of the seahorse came about during a conversation and we hit the ground running from there. The male seahorse carries their young. Symbolic of the relationship between father and daughter, it was important we based the mark around this beautiful creature.
The final mark, when you look closely, also resembles an ear, Imogen’s ear. It represents one of the most important core values of the organization, listening to others as a way of providing support as Imogen did for so many of her peers. IF you listen… is the one of the many taglines which will be used in future campaigns.
